"Bichromatic Forest" (Ref. 025) is an exercise in style and compositional rigor where Ruggero Ruggieri reduces the palette to the essentials: white and dark brown (moro). Using only the palette knife, the artist builds a woodland landscape where a stream flows through trees and bushes, emerging from the sharp contrast between light and shadow. The lack of chromatic variety is compensated by an extraordinary textural richness; the knife strokes, dictated by the rhythm of Jazz and 70s Rock, create a three-dimensionality that transforms the painting into a flat sculpture.
