THE ARTIST

My artistic journey does not stem from formal training, but from an inner urgency to translate reality and feeling into tangible matter. Over the years, my hand has freed itself from the need for meticulous detail to seek a deeper synthesis, capable of conveying not just what the eye sees, but what the soul perceives. My work lives in a constant duality. On one hand, the figurative world, where oil color becomes the means to investigate volumes and atmospheres. Here, I work almost exclusively with a palette knife, letting the thickness of the paint, rather than the line, define the face or the landscape. I do not seek photographic likeness, but the expressive power of light hitting the matter. On the other hand, my research pushes towards abstraction, where I abandon all formal references to rely on the speed and versatility of acrylics, often combined with mixed media. In this space, palette knives and brushes move following the instinct of the moment, creating deep textures and bold chromatic contrasts. This evolution represents my philosophy: art is a process of subtracting the superfluous to reach the essence of inspiration. Each of my canvases is an invitation to touch the substance of thought with your eyes, an open dialogue between the order of technique and the creative chaos that moves my every stroke.
